We warmly invite you to the   “Guru Dakshina” retreats in the month of July 2022. The Sanskrit word, “dakshina” means what is offered or given out of one’s capability and willingness, invariably to one’s Guru or teacher or priest. On the blessed occasion of Guru Purnima, we have the wonderful opportunity to appreciate anew the supreme blessing of being drawn to a God-united Guru and to resolve to make the most of that divine gift.

Let us renew our vows of discipleship by willingly and unconditionally,  placing at the feet of our Pujya Gurudeva our dakshina of love, devotion, loyalty, obedience, steadfastness, regularity in our sadhana and in studying his teachings, surrender of our souls, supporting his work through monetary contributions and service….

In the words of our former Sanghamata and President, revered and divine Sri Sri Daya Mataji: "Gurudeva is calling each one of us. We may wander in the mazes of life's many distractions, but the moment we turn to him, he is there, awaiting us as one eagerly waits for a cherished loved one. As you reach out to him with a grateful heart and firm resolve to practice what he taught, may you feel the tender, all-accepting love that eternally unites your soul with him. That love will see you through every experience in your journey toward the Divine."
 
We have the following auspicious and worshipful days to look forward to in the month of July: Guru Purnima on July 13th and “Babaji Smriti Divas” on July 25th.

 
During the past over two years, we were unable to hold in-person retreats at Gurudeva’s Sadhanalaya, due to the pandemic. We are aware of the need, now, of more and more devotees wanting to participate in our retreat programmes. To fulfill the demands and desire of our devotees, we will be holding two retreats for Guru Purnima and one for “Babaji Smriti Divas” in order to be able to cater to a larger number of our family of devotees.
 

Retreat Dates

Please select any one retreat. You may specify order of preference for each retreat if all the three slots are suitable for you as the slot you select may be full and hence not available(For example:. 1st preference, 2nd preference, 3rd preference)

(I) Guru Purnima Retreat 1:

11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2022

(Preference will be given to “working” devotee-members; one may plan to arrive on Friday evening, but will have to leave by Sunday evening)

Highlight: Long meditation of four hours on Sunday, July 9th.

Accommodation: Single occupancy; members of the same family will be accommodated on a room sharing basis.

(II) Guru Purnima Retreat 2:

11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022

(One may plan to arrive on Monday evening)

Highlight: Long Meditation of six hours on Guru Purnima day, July 13th)

Accommodation: Single occupancy; members of the same family will be accommodated on a room sharing basis.

(III) “Babaji Smriti Divas” Retreat:
 
4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 25th, 2022
 
(One may plan to arrive a day earlier)

Highlight: Long meditation of four hours on Monday, July 25th.

Accommodation: Single occupancy; members of the same family will be accommodated on a room sharing basis.

Confirmation emails will be sent out on Tuesday, June 7th. Kindly await our confirmation email before finalizing your travel plans.

All YSS/SRF members are welcome to register for this retreat. However, preference will be given to those who are registering for the first time for a retreat programme, after we opened up in April 2022.
 
Full participation in each of our retreat programmes is mandatory; part participation will not be permitted.
