PYS Igatpuri: Sri Krishna Janmashtami Retreat, August 2024

We are happy to announce the dates of a four days' retreat programme to be held at Paramahansa Yogananda Sadhanalaya, Igatpuri to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami 2024. 
In Maharashtra, Sri Krishna Jayanti will be celebrated on Monday, August 26 and Gopalkala on Tuesday, August 27. 

Devotees may plan to arrive a day earlier and leave a day later, if they so desire. Participation in the full retreat is mandatory.

Retreat details

Dates: 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24 to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Accommodation Facility: Room sharing

The lodging and boarding facility provided by the Sadhanalaya is available only on a donation basis. We appeal to all those using this facility to donate generously and help us to run and sustain the Sadhanalaya. Your donation is the only source of income for the Sadhanalaya.

Retreat Highlights:
August 26, Sri Krishna Jayanti, will be devoted to an "all day" meditation and in the thought and presence of Lord Krishna, until 12 midnight.

In Chapter VIII, verse 14 of the Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavan Krishna promises the devotee-Arjuna present in each one of us: “O Partha (Arjuna)!  I am easily reached by that yogi who is single hearted, who remembers me daily, continually, his mind intensely focused only on Me."
