Next is Mahindra Factory. Continue along this left road and when you reach Ram Mandir, take a left turn. By Train (Central Railway) 1) Local Train :Take a Central Railway local train from V.T. Or Dadar to Kasara.From Kasara, take a (shared) taxi to Igatpuri. (approx. Rs.20) ( You can pay double to get a comfortable front seat). Just before Igatpuri railway station, get down at Ram Mandir. Take another riksha (approx. Rs.30) from Ram Mandir towards Sadhanalaya.(There is a S.T. bus from Kasara to Igatpuri at around 11 a.m.) 2) Take an Express Train (Long Distance) (for e.g. Nanded Tapovan Express) from V.T. or Dadar to Igatpuri. Mother's Day Celebration: 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 12th to 2 p.m. on Sunday May 13th, 2012: All of us who have read Guruji's "Autobiography of a Yogi" will recall not only Guruji's great love for his earthly mother; who passed away when he was still a boy; but also the all-consuming devotion to the Divine Mother that was the heart of his search for God. Throughout his years in America, Guruji took much joy in the national celebration of Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May. In India, our scriptures emphasize, "matru devo bhava". Thus equating the mother to the Divine Mother Herself. This year, Mother's day falls on Sunday, May 13th, 2012. Y.S.D.K.-Igatpuri lovingly invites all mothers to join in the special event being organized in their honour at the Paramahansa Yogananda Sadhanalaya. The only prerequisite is that the mother or accompanying child should be a Yogoda Lesson member. This is a good opportunity for every mother, who is a Yogoda member, to introduce her child, who is not a member, to the spiritual path she is following and vice versa. We urge all Yogoda children to join us in this special celebration to honour their mothers and also our Sanghamata and President Sri Mrinalini Mataji. A surprisingly unusual and unique spiritual program has been designed for all participating mothers and children. An event that should not be missed! Details of the program will be given to all participants on arrival. The program will include morning and evening practice of the Energization exercises and guided meditation so as to enable mother/child non-members to enjoy the experience. Accommodation availability: Room sharing basis and all participants must come prepared for such an arrangement. Those desirous of staying on after the the avirbhava celebrations of our Paramgurudeva, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri are welcome to stay on and participate in the Mother's day celebrations. There is no charge or registration fee for the above-mentioned programs. The Sadhanalaya is run and maintained only by the donations received from those participating in our monthly retreat programs. Numerous requests have been pouring in from the children of our children's groups and their parents urging us to hold a camp for children this summer. In order to comply with this "loving demand" of our divine Gurudeva's little blossoms, we will be holding a summer camp for children in the age group of 4-12 years. We would like to mention that in the summer, Igatpuri is very warm during the day and very pleasant during the night. So the summer camp will be a different experience for the children who have been attending our camps which are held in December every year. There will be many indoor activities during the day; a new learning experience for each child. We are happy to invite children/grand children/nephews/nieces of Yogoda members wishing to participate in this camp. The camp will commence with our Mother's day celebrations, starting at 4p.m. on Saturday, May 12th and will continue after Mother's day celebrations on May 13th. The program will come to a close on Thursday, May 17th after breakfast. Child/children of one family may be accompanied by 1 adult only. More than 1 adult per child/children may plan to join in the Mother's day celebrations. But only 1 adult per child will be permitted to stay on for the camp until May 17th. Our children's camps have many children. So we will not be able to cater to and accommodate more than 1 adult per child/children belonging to the same family, which please note.
